BÜYÜKADA (meaning: Big Island)
Büyükada is the largest of the Princes Islands off the coast of Istanbul, and is easily reached all year round by ferry from the mainland. It is such a pretty place to walk around and soak up the relaxed atmosphere of this jewel set in the blue Sea of Marmara.

HEYBELİADA

Heybeliada is the second largest of the Princes' Islands in the MarmaraSea near Istanbul. It has a lenghth of 2.7 km from north to south and a width of 1.2 km from east to west. Heybeliada was known as “Demonisos” or “Chalki” in the past. It takes its present name of Heybeliada from the shape of a bag that it resembles when looked upon from a distance.




BURGAZADA

Burgazada, located between Heybeli and Kınalı is the third largest island among the Princes' Islands. It has a round shape and both the width and length of the island are approximately 2 kilometers.




KINALIADA

Kınalıada is the nearest island to the European and Asian side of Istanbul, about 12 kilometres to the south. Its colour comes from its reddish soil which is also where the island took its name as “Kınalıada” means "Henna Island."

KAŞIKADASI

Kaşık Adası, (meaning: Spoon Island) is one of the nine islands constituting the Princes' Islands in the Marmara Sea near Istanbul. It is located by the eastern part of Burgazada. The island looks like a spoon lying face-down on a table which has given the  island its name. The old name of the island was Pita Island. The island is located approximately 600/700 meters away from Heybeliada. There is no serious settlement on the island, only a few buildings and a simple port exist. Its width is a few hundred meters from north to south. During the Ottoman period, therefore, it was not open to settlement and was always used as private property. Since then, it has been owned by a private individual.




SEDEF ADASI

Sedef Island, (meaning: Mother-of-Pearl Island) is one of the nine islands consisting the Princes' Islands in the Sea of Marmara, near Istanbul, Turkey. Sedef Adası is officially a neighbourhood in the Adalar district of Istanbul.




SİVRİ ADA




Sivriada, also known as Okseia,  is one of the Princes' Islands in the Marmara Sea near Istanbul. It is the most distant  of the Princes' Islands. It is in the shape of a pyramid with a height of  90 meters.
